MEETING INFORMATION

The second meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-Ended Expert Group is scheduled for 3-7 December 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. We invite you to register for the meeting here: registration link

The First Ad hoc Expert Open-Ended was held 29-31 May 2018, Nairobi Kenya. The meeting report can be accessed here: link to the report

The meeting is open to member States and accredited Major Groups and Stakeholders.

Organizations which are not accredited to UN Environment Programme and the UN Environment Assembly but would like to participate will have to get accredited first. Please note that in order for you to get accredited in time for the meeting we will have to receive your complete accreditation application by 31 October 2018.

Travel support: 

Member States: The Secretariat will provide support to cover travel costs for the meeting for one representative from least developed countries and Small Islands Developing States. Deadline for application is 2 November 2018 for member States. Kindly fill in the HR mini master registration form and attach a scanned passport copy and send to unenvironment-gpmarinelitter@un.org, habib.el-habr@un.org, and heidi.savelli@un.org

Accredited Majors’ Groups and Stakeholders: The Secretariat will provide travel support for nine representatives from accredited Major Groups and Stakeholders. Representatives with the relevant expertise interested in applying for travel support may send the HR mini master registration form and a scanned passport copy before 26 October 2018 to unenvironment-gpmarinelitter@un.org, habib.el-habr@un.org, and heidi.savelli@un.org
